Our clients have high demands for translation and localization services and often ask us how we ensure the quality of your linguistic services and the final product.

We are an ISO 9001:2015 certified company and audited by the third-party auditor SGS group (www.sgs.com).
We have strict quality control requirements regarding the selection of new vendors. Baltic Media has its own translator testing system. Main criteria: linguistic education, at least 5 years of experience in translation, references from other clients and test translation. The initial stage sets requirements that the translators must meet in order to proceed with the testing process. These include:
- Being a native speaker of the language into which they translate;
- University degree in linguistics or a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in areas of expertise;
- Proof of educational background and certifications;
- References from clients or a referral from another trusted contractor.
Once translator requirements have been verified, applicants are asked to submit sample works in each of their areas of expertise – legal, the EU texts, IT, marketing and advertising, and other subcategories. Samples are evaluated by one of our trusted linguists. The pass or fail results are then communicated to the vendor manager and recorded in our resource database. Our workflow processes ensure that each translator's work is continually evaluated.
Furthermore, our professional liability insurance is an additional prerogative for our clients because it covers loses caused to the client by an error in translations.
